These terms govern your use of this website and any order you place through it. Please read them before ordering. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Who we are
Volt & Bolt is a trading name of AT AUTO & SPARES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17176482.
Registered office: Unit 1 Main Road, Tydd Gote, Wisbech, PE13 5QD, United Kingdom.
Email: info@atautoparts.co.uk
2. Prices and VAT
All prices are shown in pounds sterling and are the price you pay. No VAT is charged on orders placed through this site and VAT invoices cannot be issued. Delivery charges are calculated by weight at checkout and shown before you confirm your order.
We try hard to keep prices accurate. If a pricing error is obvious and unmistakable, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it. We will always contact you first.
3. How a contract is formed
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation, not when you receive the order acknowledgement. If we cannot fulfil an order we will tell you and refund you in full.
4. Availability
Stock figures on this site reflect what we physically hold. Occasionally an item sells through several channels at once. If that happens we will contact you with an expected date and you may cancel for a full refund.
5. Product information and fitment
Specifications, compatibility notes and vehicle fitment details are given in good faith and checked carefully, but you remain responsible for confirming that a part suits your vehicle and your electrical installation. If you are not certain, ask us before ordering. We would far rather answer a question than process a return.
Illustrations are representative. Manufacturers change finishes and packaging without notice.
6. Installation and electrical work
Products that connect to a fixed electrical installation must be installed by a competent, qualified person and notified where building regulations require it. Where we supply hardware only, installation and compliance are your responsibility or your contractor's. Where we carry out the installation, that work is covered by a separate written quotation and its own terms.
Equipment described as being for high voltage or trade use is sold on the basis that the buyer holds the relevant training and qualifications.
7. Warranty
Each product page states its manufacturer warranty. Warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship in normal use. They do not cover accidental damage, misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised modification, or ordinary wear such as tyre tread depth.
8. Liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, nor for business losses such as loss of profit, contracts or revenue where you buy for business purposes.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Returns
Our returns and refunds terms are set out on the Returns and Refunds page and form part of these terms.
10. Your data
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
11. Business customers
Where you buy in the course of a business, the consumer regulations referenced on this site do not apply. Trade terms, account terms and any restocking charges are agreed in writing at the point of sale.
12. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier failure, supply shortages, extreme weather and network operator delays. We will contact you and you may cancel for a full refund if the delay is substantial.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it.
