Hexcell Reserve Fleet 20 kWh Depot Battery Cabinet
£3,799.00
A home battery does one simple thing very well: it moves cheap electricity to expensive hours. On a time of use tariff that alone usually pays for the unit, and if you have solar it also stops the summer surplus being sold back for a fraction of what you buy it for.
- Lithium iron phosphate cells, which run cooler, last longer and are far harder to set alight than the nickel chemistries
- Usable capacity from 20 kWh, expandable by adding modules on the same bus
- 6000 cycle design life at 90 percent depth of discharge, with 80 percent capacity retained at end of warranty
- Integrated battery management with cell level balancing, temperature control and a hard isolation contactor
- Charges from grid, solar or a bidirectional car, and discharges to the house automatically
- Grid tied operation with export control to match your DNO permission
- App reporting for state of charge, throughput, savings and tariff performance
- IP21 indoor rated for garage, utility or plant room
- Ten year warranty on the battery, five on the electronics
Sizing honestly: most British households on an off peak tariff get the best return from 5 to 10 kWh. Going bigger only pays if you have a heat pump, a genuinely large solar array or an EV you charge at home most nights. Send us a year of half hourly data from your smart meter and we will size it properly rather than selling you the biggest box.
